UPDATE (August 27, 2024 2:25 a.m.): The Oasis reunion has been officially confirmed. Sixteen dates have been announced with more to follow.
Last week marked the 15th anniversary of Oasis last sharing the stage at the V Festival in 2009. Co-founding siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher have spent most of the past 15 years feuding but appear to be ready to put the animosity behind them to launch an Oasis reunion tour in 2025.
On Saturday night, The Times published a report indicating Oasis are planning to reunite next summer. Liam fanned the flames by responding on X “See you down front you big fanny” and then both brothers poured gasoline on the Oasis reunion fire on Sunday afternoon by posting a cryptic video showing August 27, 2024 and the time 8 a.m. The same video was shared on the band’s official social media channels.

The news of a potential Oasis reunion comes as the legendary Britpop group celebrates the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1994 album, Definitely Maybe. A video interview Noel gave to English journalist, John Robb, promoting a forthcoming reissue, was notable for how positively Gallagher spoke about Liam after his brother was the target of his vitriol for well over a decade.
The Times’ report stated “industry insiders are adamant” that the brothers were plotting to reunite. “Oasis look set to take over Manchester and London in the summer of 2025 with multiple vast gigs planned at Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium respectively. One rumour suggests the latter venue is booked for ten nights, meaning the eight-gig record set by Taylor Swift this year will survive a mere 12 months,” according to The Times.
Rumors are also swirling Oasis will perform in Scotland and headline the 2025 Glastonbury Festival. “All the speculation about this reunion can get a bit tiresome. But there’s a genuine feeling that next summer’s Glastonbury will be too much of an attraction for Liam and Noel to turn down,” a source told The Daily Mail on Sunday.
The countdown is on to 8 a.m. BST (3 a.m. ET) on Tuesday morning when fans seemingly will find out if the “maybe” of an Oasis reunion is a “definitely.”
