On June 23 both Deluxe and Deluxe – Expanded Editions of Prince’s landmark Purple Rain album are due through NPG Records and Warner Bros. Records. Today, the labels have shared a previously unreleased track that will be issued as part of the upcoming sets and are now available as “instant grat” downloads.

The new track is made up of two different songs that were merged together when performed live. First is “Our Destiny” which features vocals from Lisa of the Revolution while the second is “Roadhouse Garden.” The latter section finds Prince singing lead with backing vocals from Lisa and Dr. Fink. Both tunes were recorded live at First Avenue in Minneapolis on Prince’s 26th birthday (June 7, 1984).

The two-CD deluxe edition of Purple Rain features six tracks that according to a statement, “have never been released or distributed in the collector or bootleg community.” Among the tracks are “Electric Intercourse,” plus “Father’s Song,” “We Can Fuck,” Katrina’s Paper Dolls” and more. It also includes the official 2015 Paisley Park Remaster from the original tapes that was prepped by Prince ahead of his death.

Purple Rain’s Deluxe – Expanded Edition features all of the elements of the Deluxe Edition as well as a third disc of Single Edits & B-Sides and a concert DVD recorded live at a Prince & The Revolution performance held at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse on March 30, 1985. While the footage has circulated before, the audio and video have been restored from the original production master tape.
