Nicole Atkins & Marissa Nadler Cover The Fleetwoods’ ‘Mr. Blue’

Nicole Atkins and Marissa Nadler shared a cover of “Mr. Blue” via Bandcamp. The vocal group The Fleetwoods had a No. 1 hit with the song in November 1959.

Grammy-nominated songwriter Dewayne Blackwell wrote “Mr. Blue.” Blackwell also penned such memorable hits like the 1982 David Frizzell recorded “I’m Gonna Hire a Wino to Decorate Our Home” as well as the 1990 Garth Brooks classic “Friends In Low Places.” Nicole Atkins and Marissa Nadler’s version of “Mr. Blue” sees both singer-songwriters on vocals along with Milky Burgess on guitar and synth.
