Nicky Sanders Guests With Widespread Panic In Milwaukee

Georgia rockers Widespread Panic’s fall tour continued this past weekend at The Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, which hosted the band for a three-night stand that concluded on Sunday. As expected, Widespread Panic was joined by special guest fiddler Nicky Sanders of Steep Canyon Rangers for portions of Sunday’s finale.

Sanders first emerged to help out at the end of the first set on “Who Do You Belong To?” and “Henry Parsons Died.” Nicky returned for a large portion of the second set that included “Chainsaw City,” “Angels On High,” “Ride Me High,” “Aunt Avis” and “Protein Drink/Sewing Machine.” Widespread Panic closed out the night with a three-song encore of “Honky Red,” “Let’s Get The Show On The Road” and “Ain’t Life Grand.” Sanders sat in on the final two songs of the encore. The band now heads to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a show on Tuesday night.
