Newport Folk Festival Adds Goose, Kenny Loggins & More To 2025 Lineup

Other artists recently confirmed to perform at the iconic festival include Remi Wolf, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Maren Morris, Big Freedia and Phil Cook & The Union.

The Goose and Kenny Loggins worlds will collide on the first day of this year’s Newport Folk Festival. The Connecticut-based jam quartet and the Yacht Rock legend whose songs they’ve frequently covered are among the latest artists confirmed to perform at the famed festival at Rhode Island’s Fort Adams State Park.

Newport Folk Festival 2025 runs from Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27. The 25th will also be the first time Goose and fellow bird band Geese share a bill. Goose, Geese and Kenny Loggins are joined on the Friday lineup by MJ Lenderman, Maren Morris, Big Freedia, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Alex G, Kim Deal, The Deslondes, Hannah Cohen, Jessica Pratt, Kevin Morby, Maggie Rose, S.G. Goodman, Tyler-James Kelly and SNACKTIME.

Remi Wolf & Friends, Obongjayar and Tyler Ballgame have been added to a bill for Saturday, July 26 that already included Lukas Nelson, Luke Combs, Bonny Light Horseman, I’m With Her, Waxahatchee, Dan Reeder, flipturn, Illiterate Light, Saya Gray, Mon Rovîa, Ken Pomeroy, Julien Baker & TORRES, Jesse Welles and Iron & Wine.

Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jensen McRae, NOVA ONE, Phil Cook & The Union, Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners and Tom Odell are recently announced artists set to play the last day of the 2025 Newport Folk Festival. Lucius, Margo Price, Jeff Tweedy, Mt. Joy, BCUC, Dehd, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Michael Kiwanuka, and Stephen Wilson Jr. round out the Sunday lineup.

Additional artist announcements for each day are forthcoming. Newport Folk is also known for are surprise performances. James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Jack White, Beck and Dolly Parton have each made unbilled appearances at the festival in recent years.
