Neil Young Releases ‘Return To Greendale’

Neil Young released Return To Greendale today via Reprise Records. The live album and concert film comes from a 2003 Neil Young & Crazy Horse performance in support of Young’s album, Greendale.

Young unveiled Greendale on August 19, 2003. The subsequent tour saw Neil & Crazy Horse performing the album in its entirety alongside a theatre troupe who acted out the rock opera revolving around a small-town family who deal with the all-too relevant themes of environmentalism, corruption and the pitfalls of capitalism. Young directed the Return To Greendale concert film under his nom de plume, Bernard Shakey.

Return To Greendale arrives in a variety of formats including a limited-edition deluxe box set featuring a Blu-ray of the Toronto concert film, two LPs and two CDs as well as a DVD of of the Shakey-directed Inside Greendale, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Greendale. Additionally, Return To Greendale the live album is available on major streaming platforms.
