Neil Young & Promise Of The Real | The Monsanto Years

Neil Young & Promise Of The Real have officially announced details of their new collaborative album, The Monsanto Years, which comes out June 29 in a number of formats including a CD/DVD package, will be available in a variety of packages, including a CD/DVD package, a deluxe vinyl set and digital downloads through services such as iTunes and Neil’s own PonoMusic platform. Neil and members of Promise Of The Real, including Willie Nelson’s sons Micah Nelson and Lukas Nelson, played a surprise show on Saturday night at Charley’s Restaurant And Saloon in Paia, Maui; where they performed the tunes found on the upcoming nine-song release as well as other classics.

As you can see above, part of the cover art for The Monsanto Years features Neil and his girlfriend Daryl Hannah. The album will soon be available for pre-order here and come complete with instant downloads of “Big Box” and “A Rock Star Bucks A Coffee Shop.” Neil Young & Promise Of The Real embark on a headlining tour this July.
