Neil Young Releases Live Solo Album ‘Coastal: The Soundtrack’
Stream the record documenting the legendary singer-songwriter’s first tour following the pandemic.

Neil Young released a new live album, Coastal: The Soundtrack, coinciding with the premiere of his Coastal concert film and documentary. The film and record trace Young’s 2023 solo Coastal Tour.
Coastal: The Soundtrack arrived a day early in support of the Coastal film — directed by Young’s wife, filmmaker/actress Daryl Hannah — hitting theaters. Originally scheduled for a one-day-only showing, Coastal screenings are being extended by theaters due to popular demand. Head here for more info on the film.

Young’s Coastal Tour took place on the West Coast in Summer 2023 and marked the legendary singer-songwriter’s first extended trek in four years following the pandemic. The solo tour saw Young performing on guitar, piano and harmonica.
Young delivering a selection of songs from throughout his career including early stuff from his Buffalo Springfield days (“I Am A Child,” “Expecting To Fly”) alongside favorites like “Comes A Time” and “Vampire Blues.” Neil also offered new songs including “Love Earth” and “Don’t Forget Love.”
The 11-song Coastal: The Soundtrack features the aforementioned songs and more, recorded in various cities on the tour. Stream below:
