Neil Young Announces Free Webcast

On December 1 Neil Young will release a new album The Visitor, open his massive free archives and perform a live set from an undisclosed location in his native country. Facebook and CTV have teamed with Shakey Pictures to provide a free live webcast of the Canadian rocker’s performance.

Young’s livestream will take place at a currently undisclosed location on Friday, December 1 at 8 p.m. ET. Canadians can watch live on CTV.ca and viewers around the globe can tune in via Facebook. Young’s recent announcement revealing the upcoming opening of his extensive archives stated:

December 1st will be a big day for me. The Visitor will be coming to your town. I will be going to my town. You will be able to hear me and see me. My archive will open on that same day, a place you can visit and experience every song I have ever released in the highest quality your machine will allow. It’s the way it’s supposed to be. In the beginning, everything is free.

Once again backed by Promise Of The Real, The Visitor follows-up their collaborative live 2016 LP EARTH and 2015 album The Monsanto Years. The new record features the single “Already Great,” which can be streamed below:
