LISTING FOR NEIL YOUNG & CRAZY HORSE DATE AT DETROIT’S
FOX THEATRE SURFACES ON TICKETMASTER

Earlier this month Neil Young and Crazy Horse guitarist Frank Sampedro told Rolling Stone that his gut was telling him the current Crazy Horse tour would be Young’s longtime backing band’s last. Fans freaked out at the news, especially since Neil and Crazy Horse didn’t have any U.S. dates on their touring schedule. Well, the good news is that the band will bring their current Alchemy Tour stateside later this year.

As for now, all we know is that Neil Young and Crazy Horse will play the intimate Fox Theatre in Detroit on September 3. A listing for the show has popped up on Ticketmaster. We’d certainly be surprised if this is a one-off gig, so our fingers are crossed there’s a full tour announcement coming. Last year the group played mainly arenas on this side of the Atlantic.

Before any U.S. dates, Young and the Horse will visit Europe this summer for a large leg of the tour that will hit many cities in the U.K. and Western Europe. While we certainly hope this isn’t the end of the road for The Horse, we’d feel a lot better if a full U.S. swing is announced, giving those who want to see the band another chance.

Neil & Crazy Horse are also scheduled to play the Interlocken Festival on September 7.
