Neil Young Confirms ‘After The Gold Rush 50th Anniversary Edition’ & Shares ‘Wonderin” Outtake


On December 11, Neil Young‘s After The Gold Rush 50th Anniversary Edition arrives on CD and digital formats via Reprise Records with a vinyl box set due on March 19. Young previewed the collection with a video for an outtake of “Wonderin’.”

After The Gold Rush, Neil’s third solo studio album, was originally released on September 19, 1970. The 11-track LP includes such beloved favorites as the title track, “Don’t Let It Bring You Down,” “Southern Man” and “Only Love Can Break Your Heart.”

After The Gold Rush 50th Anniversary Edition adds a rendition of “Wonderin'” recorded in March 1970 at Redwood Studios in Topanga, California first released on The Archives Vol. 1: 1963-1972 as well as a previously unreleased version laid down at Hollywood’s Sunset Sound in August 1969. The vinyl set comes in a package created by artist Jenice Heo in collaboration with Young art director Gary Burden and includes a 7-inch single with both versions of “Wonderin’.”
