Neighbor Releases Spirited ‘Isla’ Single
Stream the second preview of the band’s forthcoming debut studio album.

Neighbor shared “Isla,” the second single from their forthcoming self-titled debut studio album. The 12-track Neighbor LP is due out through Ineffable Records on June 2.
The band — keyboardist Richard James, bassist Dan Kelly, guitarist Lyle Brewer and drummer Dean Johnston — recorded Neighbor during sessions held at both Dimension Sound in their hometown of Boston and Springfield, Massachusetts’ Ghost Hit Recording facility over a nine-month span. Co-produced by Matt Wayne and Neighbor, the album was mixed by Paul Q Kolderie (The Pixies, Radiohead).

The rollicking “Isla,” which follows debut studio single “Take Me Alive,” is a blues-tinged rocker. Neighbor premiered “Isla” live at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts on February 20, 2021. The song has been played frequently by the quartet ever since.
“Isla” features Richard James on lead vocals and includes a sizzling solo from Brewer. Stream the studio version below:
