The National Covers Cat Power For ‘Spotify Singles’ Series

The newest Spotify Singles installment features The National performing a live session for the ongoing series. The group played a track from their recently issued album Sleep Well Beast and covered a song by Cat Power.
The National offered a live version of “Carin At The Liquor Store,” which was one of 12 originals featured on the new LP. The session at Spotify Studios in New York City also produced a cover of Cat Power’s “Maybe Not.” The National played the song from Power’s 2003 LP You Are Free while on tour earlier this year.
