Nathaniel Rateliff shared the Danny Clinch-directed video for his new single “What A Drag.” The track appears on Rateliff’s upcoming solo album, And It’s Still Alright, coming out on Stax Records on February 14.

“I was excited to work on this tune the moment I heard its moody cinematic opening,” Clinch stated. “I felt we could make a strange little film that would allow the viewer to make their own interpretation of what the song and video means to them.”

The 10-track And It’s Still Alright is Rateliff’s first solo record in seven years. The death of producer Richard Swift, who worked on Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats’ two most recent albums, was a motivating force behind the project that was recorded at Swift’s National Freedom studio in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

Rateliff co-produced the album with longtime collaborator and Night Sweats drummer Patrick Meese and Beach House drummer James Barone. The album was recorded with DeVotchKa violinist Tom Hagerman, Night Sweats guitarist Luke Mossman, Everest bassist Elijah Thomson, The Texas Gentlemen keyboardist Daniel Creamer and steel guitarist Eric Swanson.
