Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Perform ‘The Future’ On ‘Colbert’
Watch the band play their new album’s title track.
Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats were musical guests on Monday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The band performed the title track off their recently released studio album, The Future.
The new album, released on November 5 by Stax Records, followed the band’s 2018 LP Tearing At The Seams. Frontman Nathaniel Rateliff also released a solo album, And It’s Still Alright…, in 2020. The Future was co-produced by R.M.B. (the production team of Rateliff, the Night Sweats’ Patrick Meese and Beach House’s James Barone) and Brad Cook.
“[On “The Future”] I’m pointing the finger at greed,” Rateliff stated. “It’s kind of picking at the corporate world and at religion a little bit. Both of those things are severely lacking love these days. Hopefully, people will realize what we’re all missing is a genuine consideration and love for each other.”
