Muzz shared the video for “Summer Love.” The song appears on the supergroup’s 2020 self-titled debut.
Muzz is multi-instrumentalist/producer Josh Kaufman (Bonny Light Horseman), guitarist/vocalist Paul Banks (Interpol) and drummer Matt Barrick (The Walkmen). Their self-titled debut arrived on June 5.

“Summer Love” contains organ from Kaufman, percussion from Barrick and vocals from Banks along with flute from guest Stuart Bogie of Antibalas. The video features “footage Matt shot a few years ago of a deserted drive-through theater, with clips we individually generated during lockdown and the majestically psychedelic collage work of the great Andrew McGranahan,” Banks said in a statement.
“It’s what we feel is a nice visual poem to accompany the song,” he continued. “Rather than a summer lockdown document, we aimed more to emulate the work of Truffaut, Fellini, or Cassavetes and to capture three stories of romance and solitude. Lofty aspirations, humble result; but we hope you enjoy it even a fraction as much as we did creating it.”
