This past Sunday night, a cowardly gunman killed at least 58 people and injured hundreds of others gathered on the Las Vegas Strip for the Route 91 Harvest Festival. One music fan has started the Las Vegas Tragedy Family Fundraising Project to help raise funds for the families of victims of the attack.
Dan Delaney wanted to do something to help in the wake of the massacre and decided to put some of the memorabilia he’s gathered over the years up for auction. “While sitting in my living room both angry and sad over this horrible act of mindless violence, I realized I could do something to help. I will be donating a large amount of my concert posters I’ve collected through the years (both framed and unframed) along with other concert memorabilia,” Delaney wrote. All proceeds will go to the families affected by the terrible massacre.
Among the items available via silent auction are an unframed print for the second Caribbean Holidaze, a double-matted framed poster from Umphrey’s McGee’s 2006 South Bend show, a triple-matted framed poster from a 2009 Disco Biscuits concert and a double-matted framed print from Jam Cruise 5. Other music fans who want to donate items to the cause are urged to message Dan through the LVFFP Facebook page.
Head to the Las Vegas Tragedy Family Fundraising Project to see all the items up for auction. Send a message to the page to put in bids.
