The inaugural Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival will take place in Okeechobee, Florida March 3 – 6 with a varied lineup that includes Mumford & Sons, Skrillex, Robert Plant, Hall & Oates, The Avett Brothers, Ween and many others. One of the hallmarks of the new festival will be the presentation of SuperJams such as the PoWoW! SuperJam that will be held starting at midnight on Saturday night featuring Win Butler of Arcade Fire, Miguel, John Oates and many others. Mumford & Sons festival-closing headlining set has also been turned into a PoWow! collaboration. Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, The Avett Brothers and Preservation Hall Jazz Band will join forces with Mumford & Sons to close out the Be Stage on Sunday night.

John Oates, who will serve as musical director for the first PoWoW! SuperJam, will be joined by Ari Fink and Okeechobee founder Paul Peck on Sirius XM’s Jam On channel to discuss the festival and guest DJ. Oates will not only serve as the musical director of the Saturday night PoWoW! but will also perform at Okeechobee as part of Hall & Oates. Other musicians set to join Oates, Miguel and Butler during the PoWoW! SuperJam are legendary bassist George Porter Jr. and drummer Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters, Kamasi Washington, New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lettuce and Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno and keyboardist Neal Evans as well as turntablist Chris Karns.
