Mountain Jam will not be held in 2026, according to an announcement indicating plans for it to be held again in 2027. The music festival returned in June 2025 after a six-year hiatus.

Mountain Jam founder Gary Chetkof shared the news regarding plans for future events.

“Mountain Jam 2025 was truly special — thank you to everyone who came out and made it unforgettable,” Chetkof wrote. “After much thought, Mountain Jam will take 2026 off and we hope to return in 2027!”

Mountain Jam launched as a single-day festival in 2005 at Hunter Mountain, which hosted the festival through 2018. Eventually expanding to multiple days, prior to this year, Mountain was last held in 2019 at Bethel Woods.

Mountain Jam’s 2025 return was held at a new location, Belleayre Mountain ski resort in Highmount, New York on June 20 – 22. Khruangbin, Mt. Joy and Goose were among the performers.
