Mountain Jam is returning in 2025 after a six-year absence. The event will take place at the Catskills’ Belleayre Mountain ski resort in Highmount, New York June 20 – 22.
Mountain Jam was founded in 2005 as a small one-day festival with a great lineup including Gov’t Mule, Medeski Martin & Wood, Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Xavier Rudd.

Mountain Jam continued to be closely associated with Gov’t Mule and the band’s co-founder, Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes. The event is named after ABB’s famed instrumental interpretation of Donovan’s “There Is A Mountain.” The festival has since grown into one of the larger festivals in the Northeast. The last Mountain Jam took place in 2019 at Bethel Woods in Bethel, New York.
While the 2020 lineup was announced, including Trey Anastasio Band, Brandi Carlile, Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter and more, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mountain Jam is now set to return in 2025. Check out the trailer video:
