Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway wrapped their four-night “Home For The Holidays” run at The Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, California on Sunday. Tuttle — who grew up in nearby Palo Alto — teamed with collaborator and Old Crow Medicine Show frontman Ketch Secor for a duet on Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks’ “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” among other choice covers and original standouts from the guitarist’s acclaimed career.

Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway kicked off their Guild Theatre finale with “Crooked Tree,” the title track to Tuttle and company’s Grammy-winning 2021 album. The holiday rendition had a festive twist with “Christmas Tree” lyrics and a tease of “Jingle Bells.” “El Dorado,” from the guitarist’s Grammy-nominated 2023 LP, City Of Gold, came next. Tuttle also paid homage to some of the Bay Area’s famed musician’s including a cover of Jerry Garcia and David Grisman’s “Grateful Dawg” along with a rendition of the psychedelic Jefferson Airplane classic “White Rabbit” featuring singer-songwriter Lindsay Lou. Following a debut of the beloved John Prine holiday song “Christmas In Prison,” Molly teamed up with Ketch for “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.”

The performance saw Secor accompanying Tuttle on fiddle for the song featuring Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers appearing on Stevie Nicks’ 1981 debut solo album, Bella Donna. While the tune has become a classic duet, the pair put a festive spin on “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” at The Guild Theatre. Watch below:

Tuttle then teamed with Lindsay Lou on Operation Ivy’s “Knowledge” in a Bay Area punk rock segment that also saw a cover of Rancid’s “Olympia WA.” Molly Tuttle capped her main set with “Take The Journey” off her 2019 album, When You’re Ready.

Next, a three-song encore took place around a single mic beginning with a holiday classic-filled medley featuring Sam Reider. Ketch Secor then joined in for John Hartford’s “Squirrel Hunters” which also featured Molly’s father and bluegrass musician Jack Tuttle. The collab along with Lindsay Lou sealed the show with John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).”

The next performance Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway have on the books goes down at the 2024 WinterWonderGrass Steamboat festival on March 3. Check out Molly Tuttle’s itinerary below:
