Molly Tuttle Aboard For ‘Instrumenthead Live’ Virtual Concert
Molly Tuttle will deliver a special album release performance for her upcoming covers LP, ...but i’d rather be with you, via photographer Michael Weintrob’s livestream series, Instrumenthead Live. The singer-songwriter and guitarist is set to perform on Thursday, August 27 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Proceeds from the stream will benefit the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. Tuttle herself lives with alopecia areata, a common autoimmune disease that causes hair loss.
“The National Alopecia Areata Foundation has helped me and countless other alopecians find a path to self-acceptance and love,” Tuttle said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to give back to the foundation by donating a portion of proceeds from the show and auctioning off prints of photos taken by Michael Weintrob that celebrate Alopecia.”
Tuttle will preview her covers album with acoustic performances of the songs on the record. …but i’d rather be with you sees Tuttle nodding to a wide variety of artists from the Grateful Dead and FKA Twigs to Cat Stevens, Rancid and more.
“With my new record …but I’d rather be with you I chose to cover some of my favorite artists who inspire me to be true to myself in my life and in my art,” Tuttle added. “When I play music and when I share my alopecia story with the world I hope to show others that it’s ok to be yourself no matter what.”
