moe. wrapped up their two-night run at Yarmouth Drive In on Cape Cod in Massachusetts Saturday night. The Buffalo-bred band bookended their second set with “Moth” and also delivered a The Who rarity.

Guitarists Chuck Garvey and Al Schnier, bassist Rob Derhak, drummer Vinnie Amico and percussionist Jim Loughlin got things underway with the classic “Rebubula” — penned by Derhak and boasting over 600 plays since 1994 — before heading into “Not Coming Down.” moe. then worked their way into “Wormwood” followed by Pink Floyd’s “Fearless.” The Meddle cut made its 2020 debut and although the band played the song six times in 2019, the Yarmouth “Fearless” marked just the 15th time the band played the song since its debut in 2009. “Deep This Time” came next ahead of the set closer, “George.”

moe. kicked off the second set with the aforementioned “Moth,” another vintage moe. tune written by Schnier. The fully segued set kept rolling with the relatively new song, “LL3,” the opener on their 2020 album, This Is Not, We Are. “Lazarus” then led into “McBain” ahead of a rare cover of The Who’s “Pinball Wizard.” The Yarmouth “Pinball Wizard” marked just the seventh time moe. has played the Tommy track since debuting in 1997, as per Phantasy Tour. The band then returned to “Moth” to bookend the set. The classic pairing of “Seat Of My Pants” and “Sensory Deprivation Bank” would serve as the encore.
