moe. wrote acronym messages into their setlist on Saturday night at The Barrymore Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin. The first letters of the songs chosen for the second set spelled out “No Kings,” while the first set had another message as well.

Saturday’s moe. concert followed massive No Kings protests that were attended by millions of people across the country. Written by drummer Vinnie Amico, the first set’s acronym – relying on the “F” in “Stranger Than Fiction” – was “F Trump.”

After the “Fiction” opener, set one in Madison also included “Tomorrow is Another Day,” “Recreational Chemistry,” “Ups And Downs,” “Mexico,” “Prestige Worldwide.”

In February 2019, moe. took a similar setlist shot at President Donald Trump at their show at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, which included the acronym “Trump Is A Lying Ass.”

The acronymic “No Kings” second set at The Barrymore was built out of “Not Coming Down,” “Opium,” “Kids,” “It,” “New Hope For The New Year,” “Gone” and “Silver Sun.”

Nodding to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and moe.’s participation in the Rock The Pink campaign, the band encored at The Barrymore with Pink Floyd’s “Have A Cigar.”
