moe. confirmed details of a four-night New Year’s Run. The band will end 2019 and begin 2020 with two concerts a piece in Burlington, Vermont and Utica, New York.

The quintet kicks off the run at Higher Ground in Burlington on December 27 and 28. moe. then heads to the familiar confines of Utica for a pair of concerts at The Stanley on December 30 and New Year’s Eve. “These will be the only moe. shows ’til 2020,” noted bassist Rob Derhak of the band’s only confirmed shows on the next four months besides a residency in Buffalo. “Be prepared for good things to come as we enter a new year.” moe. will soon enter the studio for the first time in over five years. Tickets are available via the band’s website. Read the full note from Derhak below:

Hey guys,

We’ve got some big news.

This fall moe. is heading back into the studio for the 1st time in over 5 years. We’ve been riding a wave of excitement ever since our short-lived hiatus ended. So many great things have happened since we’ve been back on stage together. But the most fun we’ve been having has been our writing sessions together. This fall we are heading into the studio to record our 12th studio album. We have a large swath of songs to choose from, some of which we’ve been playing live and others that we’ve been working on in private. The down side of this is, because we have such a large assortment of songs to record, our live shows will be limited until 2020.

We are super excited to finally return to where it all began for us in Buffalo, NY November 14-16 to play at the Town Ballroom. We will also do a short New Years Eve run at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT Dec. 27 & 28, and the Stanley Theater in Utica, NY for Dec. 30 & 31. Tickets can be purchased here: https://moe.org/tour

Unfortunately those will be the only moe. shows until 2020. But be prepared for a few announcements soon and good things to come as we enter a new year and wish us well as we enter into our 30th year together as a band.

Rob
