moe. brought their summer tour to Wonderland Forest in LaFayette, New York on Friday. The first of two concerts at the venue saw moe. welcoming Daniel Donato and Cosmic Country keyboardist Nathan “Sugar Leg” Aronowitz for a standout cover of Bob Dylan/The Band favorite, “I Shall Be Released.”
moe. launched the concert curated by keyboardist Nate Wilson with “Crab Eyes” followed by guitarist Al Schnier’s “The Road.” A cover of “Space Truckin’” came next. moe. unveiled the now staple Deep Purple cut early last year.

The sextet then stretched their legs on “Yodelittle.” Guitarist Chuck Garvey’s “Hi and Lo” then prefaced a debut of “Foots” from the jazz fusion band Stuff. Bassist Rob Derhak’s relatively new tune “Bat Country” wrapped the first frame.
Rob’s classic “Opium” kicked off set two, clocking in at almost 18 minutes. A pair of Al tunes followed: “Rise” and “New Hope For The New Year.” moe. then brought out Donato for a substantial “St. Augustine.” Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country keyboardist Nathan “Sugar Leg” Aronowitz then joined Nate Wilson in key world to lead “I Shall Be Released.”

moe. then went it alone to conclude the set with a well-jammed “Brent Black” before returning to perform “Nebraska” for the encore.
