moe., Blues Traveler & G. Love Collaborate On Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, The Beatles & The Who Covers

moe. and Blues Traveler continued their All Roads Runaround co-headlining tour at Boston’s Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion on Friday night with support from G. Love & Special Sauce. Throughout the tour, all three bands have taken part in a cover-heavy collaborative set, this time around featuring songs from Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Neil Young and The Who.

The collab set opened up with Hendrix’s “Little Wing” featuring moe.’s Al Schnier and Jim Loughlin along with Blues Traveler’s John Popper and Ben Wilson. The rest of moe. joined Blues Traveler’s Chan Kinchla and Wilson for Neil Young’s “Down By The River.” Popper reemerged along with G. Love for one of his signature raps followed by a Blues Traveler/G. Love collab on The Beatles’ “Come Together.” Members of all three bands closed out the set with The Who’s “Join Together.”

moe. would close out the night beginning with “Same Old Story” and “New Hope For The New Year.” “Captain America” kicked off a continuous, six-song block that included “Crushing,” “Opium,” “Y.O.Y.,” “CalifornIA” and “Buster.” The band brought the evening to a close with House Of Pain’s “Jump Around.”
