moe. Announces 2018 Red Rocks Show

Last week, moe. shared the amazing news the band will soon return to the stage. Hot on the heels of moe. revealing they will soon end a hiatus with two shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester and that they will take their usual spot atop the Summer Camp lineup comes word of the group’s return to Red Rocks.

Back in July moe. announced they would be taking an indefinite hiatus while bassist Rob Derhak underwent treatment for Nasopharyngeal Cancer. Derhak made it through treatment and has made tremendous strides in his recovery. One of the gigs moe. canceled was a show at the world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Today, the veteran jam act revealed they will play the iconic venue on July 12, 2018.

An online request period for tickets and an exclusive Emek event poster is currently underway via Seated. The request period will end Tuesday, November 28 at 6 p.m. MT and will be followed by the general on-sale Friday, December 1 at 10 a.m. MT through AXS.

moe. first played Red Rocks on August 13, 1999. It took nearly six years for the group to return, as they teamed with Gov’t Mule and Mike Gordon & Leo Kottke to play the Morrison venue on July 1, 2005. moe. also performed co-headlining shows at Red Rocks in 2006 and 2007. On July 4, 2013 the group opened for Blues Traveler at Red Rocks and also performed at the venue on August 25, 2016. The band was set to play the famed outdoor amphitheater with Twiddle and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong on August 13, 2017 before word of Derhak’s condition was revealed.
