The Mockingbird Foundation Announces ‘The Mockingbird Sessions’ Virtual Festival

Non-profit organization The Mockingbird Foundation will celebrate its 25th anniversary with “The Mockingbird Sessions,” a three-day virtual music festival. “The Mockingbird Sessions” will air for free via FANS.live starting at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT each day June 4 – 6.
A number of one-off collaborations have been put together for the virtual festival including keyboardist Marco Benevento and drummer Joe Russo teaming with bassist Christian McBride and harpist Mikaela Davis plus APB featuring Leftover Salmon’s Andy Thorn performing with Paul Murin and Dead Phish Orchestra’s Brian F. Adams as well as Twang Is Dead consisting of Arthur Lee Land & Friends featuring Jeremy Garrett and Andy Hall of The Infamous Stringdusters, Emma Rose, Lionel Young and Murin.

Other “The Mockingbird Sessions” performers include the Yonder Mountain Trio (Adam Aijala, Ben Kaufmann and Nick Piccininni), Dopapod, Ryan Montbleau, Paul Hoffman, Soule Monde, Neighbor and more. Additionally, Chris Wood, Nikki Glaspie, Karina Rykman, Rob Barraco, Scott Metzger, Nels Cline and Reed Mathis will be among those taking part in “Master Classes” led by Dr. Stephanie Jenkins.
The Mockingbird Foundation was founded in 1996. The organization is “dedicated to improving access to music education for America’s youth” and issues grants annually to music education programs. Head here to donate and check out the full lineup below:
