MJ Lenderman made his solo television debut on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The singer-songwriter’s appearance came in support of his acclaimed new album, Manning Fireworks, with a performance of the album track, “Wristwatch.”
Lenderman appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert earlier this year when he joined Waxahatchee on her song “Right Back To It.” For Wednesday’s Tonight Show appearance, the Asheville, North Carolina-singer songwriter was backed by his band The Wind, which featured his Wednesday bandmates Xandy Chelmis on pedal steel guitar, Ethan Baechtold on keyboards and Karly Hartzman on vocals, along with Jon Samuels on guitar, Colin Miller on drums and Brad Cook on bass.
