Mitch Chakour, Luther Dickinson & David Hidalgo Join Tedeschi Trucks Band At Green River Festival

Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos and North Mississippi Allstars brought the Wheels Of Soul Tour to Green River Festival on Sunday and shared the stage together.

The final day of the 30th anniversary of the Green River Festival was held on Sunday at Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The Wheels Of Soul Tour featuring Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos and North Mississippi Allstars highlighted Sunday’s performances, with TTB welcoming members of both other bands to sit-in during their set.

Los Lobos guitarist David Hidalgo sat-in on “The Storm,” while Luther Dickinson added to TTB’s cover of “Goin’ Down To Mexico” by ZZ Top. The guest-filled set also saw Joe Cocker’s former musical director Mitch Chakour (and father of TTB band member Alecia Chakour) sit-in on “The Letter” and “Let’s Go Get Stoned” the latter of which also saw NMAS guitarist Luther Dickinson joining in.

The Wheels Of Soul Tour continues tonight at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, New York.
