Missy Elliott Announces 1st Headlining Tour

Hip-hop/R&B star Missy Elliott announced her debut headlining tour with support from Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Timbaland. The 24-date Out Of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience Tour will take place across North America between July 4 and August 22.

“This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts,’” Elliott stated. “Being the FIRST female Hip-Hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour. Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family! So get ready to be taken OUT OF THIS WORLD with me, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland! We can’t wait to share this experience with the fans!”

Presale tickets will be available starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. local time.

The arena tour begins July 4 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, followed by stops in Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Denver, and a run through Texas landing in Austin, Houston and Fort Worth. The Out Of This World Tour will also head to Tampa and Sunrise, Florida, closing out the month with a concert on July 27 in Atlanta.

The tour resumes August 1 in Baltimore, with the rest of the month filled in by engagements in Baltimore, Hampton (Virginia), Belmont Park (New York), Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Newark, Boston, Brooklyn, Detroit, Montreal and Toronto. The Out Of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience Tour will wrap with a final stop on August 22 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
