Miley Cyrus was performed as part of Saturday’s “Global Goal: Unite for Our Future” livestream event hosted by Global Citizen. Cyrus’ appearance featured a cover of The Beatles’ classic “Help!”

The event was part of Global Citizen’s “campaign to get funding for the development and equitable distribution of COVID-19 therapeutics, tests and vaccines for everyone, everywhere.” Additional “Global Goal” performers included Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, Usher, Christine & The Queens, J Balvin, Chloe x Halle and Yemi Alade, among others.

Members of the original Broadway cast of Hamilton, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, were joined by The Roots and Jimmy Fallon on a socially-distant collaborative rendition of “Helpless.” Cyrus’ performance took place at an empty Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.

“Dedicated to those who are tirelessly working on testing, treatment, and vaccines,” Cyrus said regarding her performance, “so all of us can come together in places like this empty stadium again.”
