Mihali Announces New Album ‘Breathe And Let Go’ & Spring Tour 2020

Twiddle frontman Mihali will release his debut solo album, Breathe & Let Go, via 11E1even Records on February 28. The 11-track LP, which Mihali will support with a short spring tour, was produced by Eric Krasno and features guest appearances from Citizen Cope, Nahko, Matisyahu, G. Love and Trevor Hall.

“Fans joke about it finally coming out, because I’ve been talking about it for ten years,” the New Jersey native explained in a statement. “My main focus was always Twiddle. I had this sense of wanting to do a record—but the time, resources, and vibe had to be right. The music of Breathe and Let Go reflects what I loved to listen to growing up. Before I got into the jam world, it was raw songwriting that resonated with me. I feel strangely nostalgic listening to the album. It’s my past and my present, but also my future. It’s the first time I’m stepping out. The songs are almost like diary entries. They’re not all about me, but I’ll write from a third-person perspective when it comes to others around me. It’s my song-diary.”

Citizen Cope appears on “Heart Song,” Matisyahu contributes to “Enemies,” G. Love adds to “Strongest Of Our Kind” and “Fading State” features both Nahko and Hall. “When you hear the record, I’d love for you to feel good,” added Mihali. “Even if you relate to one tune, I’d be happy. I hope my music is the soundtrack to someone’s life. I put everything I had into this. It feels like my own. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Mihali’s spring tour in which he’ll be backed by a new band starts at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 31. The current Vermont resident then hits Fairfield, Connecticut on April 2 ahead of gigs in Boston on April 3 and Burlington on April 4. Additionally, Mihali will head overseas for a performance at PinUps in London on April 9. Tickets are on sale now. Listen to “Fading State” below:
