Acclaimed rock photographers Mick Rock and Henry Diltz will tell the stories behind some of their legendary images during the “Behind The Lens” tour of the East Coast. Presented by Morrison Hotel, the evenings of stories and photography are coming to Boston on October 7, Philadelphia on October 8, Washington D.C. on October 9 and New York City on October 10.

Each show will start with Diltz taking attendees on a visual and storytelling journey featuring some of the iconic album covers and musical artists he’s shot. James Taylor, The Doors, Jackson Browne, the Eagles and Crosby, Stills & Nash are just a few of the acts he’s worked with. Henry also was on hand at Woodstock and shot memorable images that tell the tale of that historic festival. “You will be taken far behind the scenes of what the Sixties were really all about in this authentic, heart-warming and humorous ride that only Henry Diltz can provide,” as per a statement.

The backend of each evening will feature Mick Rock regaling audiences with stories of the glam and excess of 1970s British Rock. Mick shot the likes of Queen, Blondie, Syd Barrett, David Bowie and Lou Reed during the ’70s. “This presentation is not for the faint of heart,” notes a press release. “These are the real stories as only Mick Rock can tell them – and tell them he will.” Both Mick Rock and Henry Diltz will be available to hand-sign some of their most iconic photographic prints, which will be up for sale, during a meet-and-greet after the show.
