Michael McDonald Performs ‘On My Own’ For ‘Fallon’

Michael McDonald appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon from home on Thursday. The iconic singer-songwriter performed his 1986 collaboration with the legendary Patti LaBelle, “On My Own.”

The song — composed by Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager — is a fitting one for these times. Interestingly, the music video for the tune features a split-screen between McDonald and LaBelle, who appear to be on opposite coasts. For the Fallon performance, McDonald offered some comforting words ahead of his solo acoustic guitar version of the R&B classic.
