Michael McDonald Joins Thundercat At Hollywood Bowl

On Saturday, a concert was held at the Hollywood Bowl hosted by Flying Lotus and his Brainfeeder label. Performers included Flying Lotus as well as recent label addition George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Shabazz Palaces and The Gaslamp Killer. Also on the bill was bassist Thundercat whose set included a special guest appearance by veteran vocalist Michael McDonald.

Playing keys and providing vocals, McDonald led the group on The Doobie Brothers’ classic “What A Fool Believes” and stayed on stage to assist on Thundercat’s funky “Them Changes.” Video of McDonald and Thundercat performing together was captured by glenjamn3, watch the footage here:
