Michael Franti & Spearhead and G. Love & Special Sauce :: 8.3.16 :: Pacific Amphitheatre :: Costa Mesa, CA

On Wednesday night Michael Franti & Spearhead and G. Love & Special Sauce joined forces for a marathon night of the music in the O.C. G. Love and his trio opened the festivities, before Franti and Spearhead treated fans to a lively set that included such favorites as “Say Hey (I Love You)” and “Good To Be Alive. Michael went into the crowd a handful of times with one of those times occurring during a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” At one point Franti loaded the crowd with youngsters who danced around with delight as Spearhead performed. A different part of the show saw G. Love emerge to sit-in with Michael Franti & Spearhead. Photographer Rob Chapman was on hand in Costa Mesa and has shared these photos:
