The five events will host Metallica’s only U.S. festival appearances of 2020. Metallica will change up the setlist for each performance with 10 different shows expected over the course of the year. Epicenter will be held May 1 – 3 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, while Welcome To Rockville is set for May 8 – 10 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival will take place May 15 – 17 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Louder Than Life comes to Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville September 18 – 20 and Aftershock is slated for October 9 – 11 at Sacramento’s Discovery Park.

“Metallica isn’t just another headliner. When Metallica takes the stage, it’s an event. It’s an experience. That’s the same standard we’ve set for every DWP festival – from the first band to the last band, and everything that happens in between. I can’t wait to bring the biggest band in the world to the biggest rock festivals in America,” said Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents. “Metallica paved this road that we travel. How many artists on the bill at these five festivals first picked up an instrument, or first started a band, because of Metallica?”

A pre-sale is currently underway for members of Metallica’s fan club and those who purchased tickets to Danny Wimmer Presents events in the past. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 14 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET for Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
