Menahan Street Band Shares ‘Devil’s Respite’ Single

This Friday, Menahan Street Band will release The Exciting Sounds Of The Menahan Street Band through Daptone Records. Menahan Street Band continues to preview their first new album in nine years by unveiling “Devil’s Respite” from the LP.
The group’s own Thomas Brenneck produced the 14-track album. Menahan Street Band previously shared The Exciting Sounds Of The Menahan Street Band singles “Midnight Morning,” “The Starchaser,” “The Duke” and “Queens Highway.”
Menahan Street Band — which features members of The Roots, The Dap-Kings, Lee Fields & The Expressions, The Black Keys and Budos Band — recorded the LP at their Diamond Mine Studios facility in New York City. The Exciting Sounds Of The Menahan Street Band marks the group’s first album since longtime collaborators Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones died.
