On Friday and Saturday night moe. brought their current tour to Saranac Brewery in Utica, New York; where the band was joined by guests at each show. On Friday, original moe. drummer Ray Schwartz sat-in with his old mates, while last night’s performance saw contributions from Tim Palmieri and Robert Somerville of Kung Fu. The shows came in celebration of Saranac’s Hoppy Hour Hero IPA.

Schwartz was moe.’s drummer for their formation at the University Of Buffalo in 1989 through 1992. Ray replaced current moe. drummer Vinnie Amico for the “Don’t Fuck With Flo” that opened the second set on Friday. “Don’t Fuck With Flo” is one of the oldest moe. originals and Schwartz plays on the studio version found on 1992’s Fatboy. On Saturday night, Palmieri and Somerville stuck around after Kung Fu’s opening set to add guitar and saxophone respectively to the “Silver Sun” that closed out the first set.

moe.’s Sunday show has been moved indoors to the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania from the venue’s outdoor summer stage.
