On Saturday, August 2 the Rex Foundation hosted a special celebration of the life of late Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia that featured performances by Melvin Seals & JGB, Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, Terrapin Family Band and Check Engine Acoustic. Footage of Melvin Seals & JGB from Jerry Garcia Amphitheater at McLaren Park in San Francisco has been made available. Along with Seals on keys rounding out the band that day was guitarist Dave Hebert, bassist John-Paul McLean, drummer Pete Lavezzoli, saxophonist Dave Ellis and vocalists Shirley Starks and Cheryl Rucker.
