Medeski Martin Metzger & Cline, Ryley Walker & The New Mastersounds Among CEG’s Phish After Parties 2019

A new supergroup featuring John Medeski and Billy Martin of Medeski Martin & Wood, Wilco guitarist Nels Cline and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Scott Metzger will perform together for the first time during a Phish After Party promoted by CEG Entertainment at Sony Hall in New York City on December 28. The quartet’s debut is one of the six concerts announced by CEG as part of its Phish After Parties 2019 series of shows held before or after Phish‘s New Year’s Run performances at NYC’s Madison Square Garden December 28 – 31.
Medeski Martin Metzger & Cline will team up on the 28th after the first night of Phish’s New Year’s Run. A pre-sale is currently underway here. In addition, The New Motif will perform at Rockwood Music Hall’s Stage 2 on December 28 with tickets available here. Another option is Pink Talking Fish who will play The Gramercy Theater on December 28 and December 29.
On December 30, a night of music dubbed “Electric In The Village” featuring Ryley Walker, Chris Forsyth and more artists to be announced soon will take place at Le Poisson Rouge. CEG will donate $1 from each ticket sold for all Phish After Parties 2019 concerts to Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation. More shows will be announced in the weeks to come.
