The McCourys Announce 2017 Fall Tour

Del McCoury and family have an extremely busy fall and winter ahead. The McCourys will soon launch their most extensive tour in more than 15 years. A variety of different configurations will take part in the 35-date run including shows billed as The Del McCoury Band and Del & Dawg as well as concerts from The Travelin’ McCourys, which includes sons Ronnie and Rob McCoury.

One of the more intriguing portions of the tour is a string of dates starting on November 26 and running until December 9. These “Del: Get On The Bus” shows will find Del performing at intimate rock clubs across the West Coast and Colorado. “There’s so many great places to play and hear music, I just can’t stop,” the Grammy Award winning McCoury said in a press release announcing the tour. “I always love hearing other people play, even if I don’t see myself playing their type of music, I never walk away without having learned something new.”

The Travelin’ McCourys hit the road in early October for a series of “Grateful Ball” dates with the Jeff Austin Band. After a Del & Dawg date at Plaza Theatre in Glasgow, Kentucky on October 7, the Del McCoury Band play a series of concerts spanning October 14 – November 4. The Travelin’ McCourys then tour without their dad ahead of the “Del: Get On The Bus” dates.
