Massive Attack scrapped a series of four U.S. headlining tour dates and a festival appearance that was set to be the band’s first run of stateside concerts in five years. “Unforeseen circumstances” led to the cancelations.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Massive Attack must regrettably cancel their upcoming performance at III Points Festival in Miami on October 19, as well as their shows in Atlanta GA, Washington D.C., Boston MA and Forest Hills NY,” wrote the British collective on Instagram. “We appreciate your understanding at this time.”

The brief jaunt was originally scheduled to begin on October 17 in Atlanta before the group’s III Points appearance. Massive Attack was then slated to perform at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on October 22. Additional concerts were planned for Boston on October 23 and New York City on October 23.

Refunds are available via the original point of purchase. There is no word on what the specific “unforeseen circumstances” were and whether Massive Attack will announce new U.S. dates.
