On October 31, 2014 Phish shocked and awed fans by unveiling the most inventive musical costume of their Halloween show tradition, a re-working of Disney’s Chilling, Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House album of sound effects. Phish paired original grooves they had composed with the sound effects found on the album. A fan recently paired spooky footage with audio of a Chilling, Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House favorite.

The fifth track on the original 1964 version of Chilling, Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House is “Your Pet Cat,” which involves lots of feline screeching. Phish interpreted the original track with a groove that sounds straight out of the best of “Tube” jams. The video below, created by Alan Berry, features visuals that perfectly augment a version of “Your Pet Cat” the quartet played in 2016. We especially dig the surprise ending.
