Singer-songwriter Marlon Williams released a new single, “My Boy.” The New Zealand-born, Melbourne, Australia-based musician also announced Fall 2022 tour dates in North America and Europe.

“My Boy” marks Williams’ first new solo music since his 2018 LP, Make Way For Love. The song contains contributions from co-producer Tom Healy on electric guitar, L.A.-based drummer Paul Taylor (Feist), bassist Cass Basil (Ladyhawke, Tiny Ruins), Elroy Finn on additional percussion and Mark Perkins on vocals and additional production.

“‘My Boy’ is a pop song with a Māori folk strum,” Marlon said of the new track. “The urge to turn every song on the planet into a Māori strummer descended on me like a fever sometime during the long and winding tour cycle of Make Way for Love. So writing it into my artistic life became the only way to get the fever to lift.”

“My Boy” arrived with a music video co-directed directed by Williams and Martin Sagadin with choreography by Robyn Jordaan. Check it out below:

Marlon kicks off the North American portion of his 2022 tour on September 14 in Boston. Stops in New York City, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia follow. After a show in Toronto on September 19, Williams will deliver Midwest concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis.

The singer-songwriter will then hit Denver on September 24 ahead of West Coast engagements in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland. Williams will close out his North American run in Los Angeles on October 3.

Marlon then heads to Europe beginning on October 19 in Dublin, Ireland. The European run will see the singer-songwriter throughout the UK as well as in France, Germany and Scandinavia. The European leg concludes in Amsterdam on November 13.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 6th at 10 a.m. local venue time.
