Madonna announced a concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on December 22 with a portion of ticket sales benefitting trans rights organizations. Along with the Music City concert, Madonna also added an additional seven dates to her The Celebration Tour.

With anti-LGBTQ+ bills — including a ban on drag performances — moving through the Tennesse and other state legislatures, Madonna will head to Nashville to support LGBTQ+ rights. Madonna spoke about the issue in a statement:

“The oppression of the LGBTQ+ is not only unacceptable and inhumane; it’s creating an unsafe environment; it makes America a dangerous place for our most vulnerable citizens, especially trans women of color. Also, these so-called laws to protect our children are unfounded and pathetic. Anyone with half a brain knows not to fuck with a drag queen. Bob and I will see you from the stage in Nashville where we will celebrate the beauty that is the queer community.”

Each show on Madonna’s The Celebration Tour will feature a performance by Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue. Madonna’s new Celebration Tour dates begin in Washington D.C. on December 18 followed by a concert in Philadelphia on December 20 ahead of the Nashville benefit concert.

The fresh dates then pick back up in 2024 on January 11 in Palm Springs, California. Additional California stops include Sacramento (January 13) and San Francisco (January 15). Madonna hits Las Vegas on January 18 ahead of the final new date confirmed today, which takes place in Phoenix on January 20.

Following various pre-sales beginning Tuesday, March 28, tickets for Madonna’s new dates go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 31.
