Madi Diaz released the single “New Person, Old Place” featuring fellow singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews. The track is set to appear on Diaz’s Same History, New Feelings EP due out on March 4 via Anti-Records.

The Same History, New Feelings EP is a guest-filled reworking of four songs from Madi’s 2021 album History Of A Feeling. Along with Courtney Marie Andrews, the EP sees contributions from Waxahatchee (Katie Crutchfield) — on the previously released “Resentment (New Feelings) Version” — Angel Olsen and Natalie Hemby.

“I’ve been listening as a fan to these four women for quite a while now,” Diaz said of her Same History, New Feelings collaborators. “I’m honored to call them my friends and to have their voices singing these songs with me is something that I still can’t quite fathom. I’m so thankful for their artistry and their stories giving these songs a whole new world and a whole new life.”

“Madi’s acute awareness of the human spirit makes singing her songs emotional and touching,” Andrews noted on the new single. “Getting to harmonize with her on this beautiful tune was a true treat.”
