Gov’t Mule continued their tour of the West Coast with a stop at the Majestic Ventura Theatre in Ventura, California on Saturday night. The band welcomed a pair of particularly special guest vocalists to join them, as The Better-Half Singers – Machan Taylor and Mini Carlsson – participated in the evening’s encore.
Following their two set performance, Mule retook the stage at the Majestic joined by the two guest singers. Taylor, who is married to keyboardist Danny Louis and Carlsson, who is married to bassist Jorgen Carlsson, accompanied frontman Warren Haynes on a rendition of “Dreams & Songs” from this year’s studio LP Revolution Come … Revolution Go. The familial collaboration continued with a show-closing cover of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends.”
